New records in classic powerlifting at the Nordic Championships:
Maria Engrenius, Sweden, -47 kg subjunior women, bench press 65 kg, deadlift 128 and total 288 kg
Susanna Torronen, Finland, -84 kg subjunior women, bench press 103 kg
Daniel Saber, Sweden, -93 subjunior men, deadlift 280 kg and total 655 kg
Henna Kaasalainen, Finland, -72 kg subjunior women, deadlift 160 kg
Impressive lifting during the Swedish National Championships resently resulted in several new Nordic Records, namely by Eriksson, Thuresson, Johansson, Selberg, Svensson, Jamroz, Öberg, Telegin, Lakso and Andersson.

The World Championships in Bench Press in Rødby, Denmark saw some remarkable results.
Fredrik Smulter´s stunning 400 kg bench press has been added to the record registry, along with Calle Nilsson´s new sub-junior World record and new Nordic records by Gestsson, Fransson, Vikla, Riis, Christensen, Rames, Vilmar and Lönn.
Some serious new Nordic records were made at the IPF World Championships in Stavanger last week, both in open and junior categories men and women, and the register is starting to look more and more like the World record register 🙂
